Stealth – fully balanced headphone/ line tube amplifier

My friend, who is running the Tube Sound Labs small enterprise,  accomplished one of his latest toy-projects: a fully balanced  tube driven headphone/line amplifier.

The ”Stealth” head-amp is build on a small than usual box, having the JJ made E88CC vacuum tubes and the supply transformer at display.

The topology, refined for almost three years , consists in a mu-follower build with E88CC.

The power supply uses s over-sized toroidal transformer, a fully regulated anodic voltage, as well as super-regulated slow-turn on DC filament supply.

The output is via a Sowter transformer. Also, the balanced input is fed via a balanced Sowter transformer.

‘Stealth’ could be used as headphone amp, as his output impedance is 600 Ohm, as well as volume controlled mini-preamplifier (without remote).

The front panel sports just the volume control knob and a power supply red LED, while the back plate hosts the AC IEC socket plus the balanced IN & OUT sockets.
